We did it! As decided last year, we went back to France after over 20 years in California and we are adapting to the drastic change and making new friends.
In summary:
  • This year was about starting a new life in France and re-deploying our wings
  • As anticipated, our social life and the food is vastly better
  • We live in our house in the country side and learn about farming!
  • Hervé has started coaching in business schools and consulting
  • Pauline and Elise are doing superb at home and in school
  • We are happily reconnecting with our family and friends
  • We regret the war in Ivory Coast but in any case Africa is next!
Again this year we believe that a picture is worth a thousand words so here are the best photos that illustrate all of what happened for us in 2004.

  • Our USA goodbye grand tour
  • Our brand new tipi in France!
  • Packing and moving out

This year was an unbelievable adventure: packing the US home, selling everything, shipping a container & a car to France, dealing with a lousy shipment company, leaving the cat Ninja behind, knocking on doors to find work in France, our computer blowing up with all of our friends' addresses, and learning to live the French way. This is truly one of the biggest challenges of our lives and will be remembered as the year when we came back from America. Our destiny is unfolding.
